At Maar + Gaat Birth Work, we support our clients and their families in all birth choices, whether they choose a midwife or an OB, vaginal delivery, or a planned cesarean section. Labor and childbirth are unique and unpredictable experiences. You will experience endless changes in your body, mind, and relationships during this time. A new baby brings a lot of emotions, but it also brings a lot of unknowns, and you deserve the best of the best to guide you through this journey. Postpartum Support
In our postpartum doula role, we provide emotional, physical, and coping support to new parents after childbirth, including soothing newborns and helping you adjust to parenthood.

Birth Doula Support
As soon as you hire us, we are available to answer any questions or concerns you might have. We will provide a personalized prenatal visit so that you and your partner can feel more comfortable and prepared for your upcoming birth. It is imperative that your doula is prepared, calm, and aware of your needs and wishes. Until you and your partner are settled in with your newborn baby, we will provide you with continuous educational, physical, and emotional support. A positive experience for you and your partner is our primary goal. You will also receive a postpartum visit from your doula. As part of your visit, we will answer any questions you have about the baby, yourself, and your family.

We have resources to help you with comfort measures, childbirth education, lactation education and so much more. A Google Classroom with resources as well as on-demand videos will be made available to you.
